About Mrs. Zikowitz

Hi! I'm Mrs. Zikowitz and I am so excited that you have taken the time to visit out classroom website!

I am originally from Maine where I grew up with my mom and dad, 5 older sisters, and my Grandparents right up the street. After High School, I attended Rivier University where I earned my B.A. in Human Development with a concentration in Elementary Education (K-6) and Special Education (K-12). Upon graduation, I married my wonderful husband, Andrew and together we moved to our first army installation in North Carolina where I began my career teaching first grade. Since then we have also lived in Oklahoma, New York (West Point), Kansas,and here we are back in New York!

We have two very fun and energetic children: Julian (9) and Haven (6).

​

In the warmer months I enjoy hiking, biking,and going to the beach. In the colder months, I enjoy skiing,snowshoeing or keeping warm by the fire! My favorite foods are lobster and chocolcate (but not together!)

The 2017-2018 school year will be my 6th year teaching Pre-K and my 2nd year at IHC!
